展覧簡介 Introduction
《島嶼影誌——時代的超前記憶術》是藝術家李銳奮逝世後的首個大型回顧展，展出其生前60多件（組）攝影作品，涵蓋1990年代在法國留學時期的創作，以及返澳後在澳門拍攝的作品、影像裝置及創作計劃。
作為澳門當代攝影與實驗藝術的先驅，李銳奮的創作不僅是對影像美學的探索，更是一種對社會現實的批判與反思。他通過攝影、裝置及跨媒介實踐，挑戰藝術的邊界，並在澳門這座充滿矛盾與變遷的島嶼上，捕捉城市發展中的隱喻與詩意。
The exhibition When the Island Casts Its Shadows is the first large-scale retrospective of artist Frank Lei following his passing, presenting over 60 photographic works that trace his artistic journey. The collection spans from his studies in France during the 1990s to his later works, installations, and photography projects in Macau after his return.
As a pioneer of contemporary photography and experimental art in Macau, Frank Lei’s practice was both an exploration of photographic aesthetics and a critical engagement with social reality. Through photography, installation, and cross-media experimentation, he pushed the boundaries of art, capturing the metaphors and poetics of urban development in Macau—an island defined by contradictions and transformation.

「邊走邊看・外圍展」是本次展覽的組成部分之一，包含八張攝影作品，分佈於小城八個不同地點，包括書店、咖啡店、酒吧及藝術空間。「外圍展」旨在延續攝影師生前喜愛的漫遊紀錄。
邊走邊看，在這裡或那裡留下作品與身影，靜靜感受靈光乍現時刻。
The companion exhibit, “Roaming Gaze: On the Fringe,” displays eight photographs in unconventional spaces (bookstores, cafés), capturing Lei’s urban wanderings. Distinct from the main show, it invites visitors to explore both the central and peripheral venues.

展覽位於方言社攝影圖書室，由方言社主理人之一Alan Ieon策劃。展出最新收錄的李銳奮系列藏書。這些書籍展示了李的藝術思考與關注的攝影理論，讓觀眾深入了解他在影像創作中的影響與探索。
This exhibition is curated by Alan Ieon at the Dialect Photo Library. It features a newly compiled collection of Lei’s books that reflect his artistic thinking and photographic theories, allowing viewers to delve deeper into his influences and explorations in image creation.
